As an avid reader, I want the device I read on to reflect either my personality or my current reading obsession. Most recently, I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole of watching people decorate their kindles on TikTok.
After watching countless videos, I’ve curated a list of the must-have essentials for decorating your Kindle according to the girls!
What You Need
- A clear case (to show off your stickers or inserts)
- Cute stickers inspired by books, genres, coffee or your favourite fandom
- Printable Kindle inserts or backgrounds
- I recommend going on Pinterest for the best aesthetic-looking backgrounds, or if you are a creative yourself, using a free online tool like Canva to design your own.
- A PopSocket or grip for comfortable reading
- I recommend getting a mag-safe grip that can be moved around for optimal comfort.
- Charms or beaded accessories
- Optional: Matching Kindle Sleeve or Pouch for protection
- Optional: Kindle skin or decals are also a great alternative to using printable inserts.
Now that you have a list of what you would need to decorate, let’s actually get to decorating!
How to Decorate Your Kindle
Step 1. Pick Your Aesthetic
Not every person likes the same things, so this step is crucial. Decide on the vibe for your Kindle, whether that be cozy, dark academia, fantasy lover or a minimalist. This will help you plan out your stickers, inserts, vinyls and other decorations.
Step 2. Add a Clear Case & Inserts
Every good decorated Kindle starts with a clear case so you can see your photos, printable inserts, scrapbook paper or other themed background.
Step 3. Decorate with Stickers & Accessories
Then we get to the fun part, adding accessories! This is where you add your favourite stickers, PopSockets, charms and mag-safe attachments.
Step 4. Admire Your New Decorated Kindle
To complete your new book-reading experience, you need to go to your favourite reading spot, curl up and enjoy all your hard work!
